Chris Lee

Chris Lee is an independent social media and SEO strategist and trainer. While VP of Digital at consumer electronics firm Philips’ PR agency, Chris oversaw the global roll-out of its social media engagement strategy for its male grooming category. As early as 2007 while marketing manager at tech agency Rainier PR (now Speed Communications), Chris’ team won the “Best Business Blog” award from Communicators in Business,

, a large part of the business case being Rainier’s consistent occupancy of the top three spots on Google for its targeted keywords.
Chris has trained brands and PR agencies alike on social media and SEO best practice since 2009 and has written for the University of Westminster’s New Media Knowledge website since 2008.

Joanna Randall

Joanna’s career spans 17 years in PR and full service marketing agencies. As Head of PR for McCann Erickson Bristol she set up the specialist social media unit SoMe in 2009 and established the annual UK Social Media Marketers’ Index.
She now runs her own PR and social media agency, PurpleFish PR, which offers specialist social media expertise and senior PR consultancy services by integrating digital media channels with more

traditional communication methods. As a consultant to Social Heads (www.socialheads.co.uk) she provides social media implementation packages direct to businesses and creative agencies.  Joanna is a social media trainer to several of the South West’s leading PR and marketing agencies and has also run social media training sessions for the CIPR’s Communicator conference.

Heather Yaxley

She describes herself as a hybrid consultant-academic-trainer-practitioner with over 20 years’ experience working with major brands and a wide range of other organizations.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has an excellent reputation for her expertise, particularly in social media, strategic communications, innovative campaigns and digital PR. Heather is a director and general secretary of the Motor Industry Public Affairs Association providing professional development and networking for 400 practitioners. With an extensive academic knowledge and her own

business, Applause Consultancy, Heather is one of the most qualified trainers in her field. A course director for the CIPR qualifications, she has developed an innovative online learning portal to support teaching at centres around the UK. Heather is a part-time lecturer at Bournemouth University, where she studying her PhD in career strategies in PR. She has presented at conferences and is a published author. She is currently writing The PR Toolkit – a ‘how-to book with brains’ – to be published in 2012. Drew Benvie

Drew Benvie is one of the founding personalities of the social media economy.

He first wrote the page on social media on Wikipedia in 2006, has been a member of the PR Week Powerbook since 2010 and was named the industry’s most respected individual in 2011 by New Media Age’s Reputation Online report.

His experience includes working across all sectors specializing in social media and PR, for consumer and B2B brands including Red Bull, Microsoft, the Conservatives, O2 and the BBC. Drew is founder of communications and social media agency Battenhall.
